Happy New Year Everyone:

I am still researching on how to go about day trading on ES. Contemplating if i will join, DTA or Steven Primo or the Day trading coach.

But i am pretty sure i will pick some valuable lessons on this site, thanks to all of you

I have been trading on and off (much more off) for several years. I went through small accounts (2-4k) twice over the years.

Somehow I became middle aged (lower fifties), live in Southern CA., have two children (16,12) and my lovely wife.

My education was BS in Natural Science and BA in Psychology (and a year of masters Theology). I have spent most of the years since then in Real Estate flips and financial use of insurance for tax-free income purposes.

I am shocked at all the "crapola" out there that I have seen over the years. But I have always really liked Big Mike's (now Future.io) as it contains real people saying what their experiences are. In this trading area, you ALMOST can't be too cynical (but I have seen folks who were).

Good luck and merry Christmas (past) to all.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for allowing me to join your community. I guess like all others here I am on a quest for knowledge, to one day become a profitable trader and to also share any positive experiences I have along the way.

Trading for last 15 years
Started in bank, was market making few ccy pairs then moved to mutual fund company where traded different products and markets around globe, helped to managed more than $1 billion. On my own for last three years.
I plan to start journal for one system which trades GC, DOW and EURUSD, and orders are placed only two times per day. Whole approach is based on work of my mentor who developed all. It is based on price action as it has 12 setups and different trade management and sizing methods.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to trading futures, some experience with stocks and options. I have been in the Energy business for the last 25 years buying and selling Tenders of fuel (Heating oil, jetfuel, unleaded). Most of the companies I worked with had traders working for them, and I developed an interest in the markets from that. I recently got injured in an accident, and realized that traveling would be out of the question from now on. Bought a comfortable chair and have started to educate myself on futures trading. Still have a penchant for Energy, (Heating oil has been good to me) so I thought I would give it a try. Not as easy as I thought it would be, so I am here, where the experts are to see what I can learn from you. Of course I will contribute what I can to the group and stay positive in my thoughts, hopefully everything else will slide into place. Thank you to everyone for the invitation to join, I look forward to participating in this endeavor along with you all.

Hello, I have been trading live now for one year, with CFD's.
I haven't made money. I took a course from a local professional trader, and am watching daily videos.

I'm taking other courses as well.

I haven't blown my account yet. I have been lucky.

I find that Online Trading Academy is very good, but very expensive. I found my trading improved with their strategy.

. I also took Second Skies (Chris Capre), Udemy courses on trading,

Also reading books by Tom Bulkowski? I check on his website, "thepatternsite.com" a lot.

THat's basically it. I work as well as a pharmacist.

I would like to become a full time trader, but because of my work, I don't think I have the time to do it. They say you need at least 7 to 10 years to become a good trader.

Julie
