Hello All,

I am fairly new to trading (2 years), and just started trading Futures on Ninja this past February.

At the moment, I am a break even trader trying to find my way through all the indicators and software packages.

My goal is to eventually become a full time trader.

Excited to be a part of this forum.

Cedric

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the forum. I am here to learn how to not shoot my self in the foot. FX is marketed every where by what appear to be mostly hypsters. Futures & options are also of interest, but going through a mine field 1st with no clue is suicidal.

The way you run the forum will allow me to learn from unbiased experienced pro's.

Thank you much!

Hank

Hi All!

My name is Balázs and I began trading bit more than 1 year ago. I traded a demo account for 4-5 months and then moved live - but too early as I later realized trough a few expensive mistakes Currently I am break even and trying to improve further. I still have some psychological barriers to overcome to be profitable. My main focus now is on identifying and handling these barriers.

I'm swing trading US and European indexes. I check market internals where available (AD line, AD volume line, P/C ratio ect..) to identify divergences with price. Ultimate Oscillator by Larry Williams is the only indicator derived from price data I use beside Elliott waves analysis.

Ultimate Oscillator proved to work best for me to measuring momentum, I can only recommend it to everyone who looks at divergences. Maybe later I will prepare a post from my experiences with this indicator.

Good luck for everyone!

Balázs

Thanks for the access, definitely looking to add value when possible. In and out of the the markets since tech boom of late 90's, made money, made mistakes, now starting with futures after focusing on SPY options in 2014/2015, excessive commissions and fees driving me to the futures market. Published a few biotech articles on Seeking Alpha in 2013 and traded off them for big gains.
Starting out focusing on NQ, did ok last week but it was a whipsaw, but now taking some time to step back, study chart patterns and learn to trade the ladder, appropriate stops etc.
THANKS, lets keep our wits about us and good luck to all.

My name is Jon, I work up in the oil patch of North Dakota. I have always had a fascination with the markets but have had limited success. Read a lot of books and researched multiple trading systems with not much to show for it but for some reason, I guess stubborn, I would like to think I can figure this out. How I even found this site is due to a friend joining another room and having the Gomi, didn't really understand it when I first looked at it but what got me all excited was the volume ladder. Couldn't stop thinking about it then finally joined Big Mikes to get it. Once I started exploring this forum all I can think is WOW what a sweet place to learn. I think I have found home, So many cool people with so many different backgrounds. Will be a great place to learn and hopefully grow as a Trader. My hats off to Big Mike and all the Traders that have made this forum what it is today. I know a lot of hard work went into making this place what it is. I hope someday to contribute like so many others have. Back to the Gomi Ladder, what a cool indicator, my success trading this on demo the last two weeks has been a night and day difference. Yall have a great day and hope all yalls dreams come true. Thanks Jon

Hi all,

I'm coming from Switzerland. I started to be interested in financial markets 3 years ago.

I have a background in accounting. I used to play poker at a decent level (semi-pro during 2 years).

I will create a trading journal here and I hope this will help me to turn the corner.

Hello,
Thank you to futures.io (formerly BMT) for creating a great resource for people looking to learn more.

I started trading in the Fall of 08 and had a rough time of it. Not knowing what I was doing and jumping in after reading one or two trading books. I then jumped from one indicator to another always trying different things. even jumping from equities to Options to futures. with out developing a track record to figure out what was going to work. Eventually I blew up my account and went back to work.

I am always looking into the market and want to get back in. This time I want to do it right. I have set timeframes and indicators. I am now practicing on the simulator for the ES and NQ. I also started practicing reading the tape.

I am looking for insights to Futures trading. as well as a mentor or community to be able to review my trades to help me where I am going wrong.
