I am new to this site, but it already impressed me alot when was trying to find useful information about trading.
Well, I am quite new to this kind of business and I do not have open real account yet, but that is not my actual task TO DO. My first quest, that I have decided to follow is to gather the information base about the futures. So, thats it! I am new to this(app. a year or so), gathering info that I like, searching and making an overall vision about my future steps. I am not doing this very fast, I HAVE TIME! To be honest, up to this point I have managed this - Found my favourite instruments and trading method- INTRADAY, - mini Dow-Jones and E-mini Nasdaq markets to look into, found my actual analyzing program and platform - NinjaTrader 7, doing a backtesting and found myself very interested in PRICE ACTION working -everything about it, now realised that support and resistances is the key to potential victory and orderflow watching, also very useful. Still trying to watch over myself to not get drown in sooo many information at once, as this is also dangerous, to be over-educated at once (i am joking) and to be even more honest, I am gathering my base capital for first real trading. Before that there is really lot of backtesting to be done and even more of paper trading before I decidde to which broker I will fill the pocket with commisions (no offense to all good brokers around)
So, thats it, I am rather talkative kind of a guy, so not sure If anyone will read this long stuff
I am going to take a look around at this forum now )
Hello my name is Olivia. And I have no experience what so ever but I am extremely interested in learning...I am tired of working a crappy 9 to 5 and going to school to learn about a new crappy 9 to 5...I want financial freedom...I want to be able to make my life mines and not my bosses...if someone could point me in the right direction of where I should start looking first whether it be on this website or with a book or on another website I would greatly appreciate it

I am an Engineer with a minor in math and have been in manufacturing for 19 years.
Being laid off several times due to outsourcing has taught me that gone are the days where I am going to work for the same company as a guarantee for life.
I love the openness of this community versus other forums that reeks of shill review self promotion type posts, condescending know it alls, or secretive lurkers not willing to share anything.
I have not got any experience. Playing a bit in eToro on EUR/USD with small amounts to get at least psychological part of this world.
After watching webinar ' where to start as a trader' very excited having joined here. I will look for the best way to start - platforms, brokers, methods etc.
I am interested in Day trading (part time at the beginning) in US Stocks (Nasdaq) and maybe forex. Not sure yet of platform and brokers (need to research what is available for Belgium resident).
Thanks for this Forum BM and all the contributors,

Glad to be here. I'm a beginner trader and am currently attending the 3 day Market Timing Seminar with Online Trading Academy. I got some good information from them but I have come to the realization that because of sites like this one i don't feel I need to spend $14k to become an experienced trader. I think I'm gonna put that money to work for me instead. What do you guys think?
Im so glad I did some more research before I made a decision I may have regretted. I look forward to getting involved in the forums and doing some learning.

Thanks: 2 given,
While searching for Easy Language files for TradeStation your website was a hit with my browser. After a few minutes it was evident that futures.io (formerly BMT)F was comprehensive and offer valuable information as I begin trading. JT
Very happy to have found Big Mike's Trading Forum!
Thanks for having me in your forum! I expect the Money Management sections will probably be my favorite section. I certainly plan to take advantage of the trading-psychology threads and ideas, but algorithmic trading is really where my passion lies. As I'm very much a beginner trader, some ideas and tips on methods will obviously be useful as well.
I've taken a hiatus from the oilfield to get my trading system up and running - and it's not up and running yet. My trading platform is a bit different than the one's everyone else here is using. NeuroShell Trader is designed primarily for neural net operated trading.
My first study book has been "Come Into My Trading Room" by Dr. Alexander Elder. I haven't read a lot of trading books yet, but I really like this one. One point he makes is that successful traders generally focus on a handful of markets and get to know them intimately. My focus is on Bitcoin trading.
I'm looking forward to learning from all of you. Hopefully I can offer something in return.
EDIT: I did not put the advertisement that just appeared in my post. I guess the forum did that.
