The fact that you don't know how to trade without an indicator and are suspicious probably means that you really don't know how to trade and probably aren't even close.
Indicators are just different views of what price is doing over time. Pay attention to what price is doing over time and you don't really need an indicator. In fact, there is a very good argument that says indicators distort what is really happening. Conversely if they worked so well, then it would be simple to get rich quickly.
Go back to the beginning and figure out how to trade without an indicator and when you learn that decide what you want to do.
I found this forum by stumbling on to Big Mikes youtube channel. After viewing almost all of the webinars I had no choice but to come here and read the forums! There is so much great information here and I am eagerly reading through old threads and taking notes. I will definitely get the elite membership and create a journal here once I am done collecting enough statistics for my own system.
The following user says Thank You to Studier for this post:
I am new to the forum and not a full time trader, I definitely have other pursuits, like friends and family.
I like trading the ES but want to do it with better accuracy. For me that means better application of statistical indicators. To do this I hope to stay connected with a community of users to gain a better understanding of the trade.
I use NT7 and have about 300 indicators which includes NT's own generic Indicators.
Some of the better ones are from Jurik Research. They make low lag ultra smooth MA's based on fractal mathematics. I am currently working with support and resistance models.
Anyway I hope to find groups that can help me improve my trading.

First of all, many thanks to Mike [RESPECT] and of course to all other contributors in the forum. Its now almost a year since I joined the forum, purchased NT-license and started to build an automated strategies for trading ES. futures.io (formerly BMT)-family has been priceless help in my journey, THANKS!
Few words about me, five years history of day-trading and options, mostly ES and individual stocks. I have pretty good idea how I would like my strategies to work and current focus is to learn how to code it nicely. I have good knowledge in excel/VBA and object-oriented programming in general level. Last year I have focused on C#/.NET to have deeper knowledge of NT and its custom script.
My apologies of being a free rider for this long, I will change that and try to contribute better in the future. Hopefully it will get easier when my own learning curve starts to grow exponentially.
