My name is Mike and my goal is to be a professional trader and quit my current job. I have a programming background and focus on automated strategies development.
My name is Felipe, I'm from Brazil and I've been studying investments in general since the last month or so. For now I wanna learn about trading and i hope to find a lot of introductory materials around here!
This is my first post. My name is David and I have made a handful of trades over the past couple years. I have been successful based off trading the basics: support/resistence, trendlines, etc... I would consider myself in between a beginner and a novice when it comes to the markets.
Even with my successes, I have seen mistakes that I have made with most of my trades. The biggest being not letting my winners run and taking profits too early. I plan on fixing this in the future with the use of stops to protect my profits.
Currently I am starting to read up on the Wyckoff method along with how to use David Weis's wave volume indicator. I don't currently have the indicator but I plan on getting it in the future. This strategy makes the most sense to me because of it's simplicity and how its main focus is on raw price and volume data.
I use the thinkorswim platform and someone built Weis's indicator on thinkscripter.com, but that web site no longer gives away there scripts for free. This kind of sucks because I was looking forward to getting it; so, if anyone has the scripts for the Weis wave, send me a message. I would love to have it...
Either way, I'm excited about taking up an actual strategy. I beleive that there are many strategies that can make you money in the stock market. The key to being a winner is staying disiplined in the rules that we use with our strategy. That along with money management.
Anyways, looking forward to learning from others in this forum who use the Wyckoff method. Any recommendations would be amazing.

My name is John. This is my first post. I use the thinkorswim platform. I trade mostly futures and options on stocks. I consider myself a novice. I would like to learn from this forum, and contribute to, whatever I can.
I have been trading on and off for about 6 years and blown up more than 2 accounts. I have tried various systems/indicators/time frame with little success and I end up giving any gains back and more but I am determined to be a currency trader.
My greatest weakness is indiscipline and itch fingers and this are the areas i want to improve upon, going forward.
I am based in London and hope to interact with like minded people in this forum.
