Hi everyone,

I've been trading since the start of 2011 started with Shares than CFD's than forex and now futures. Since I started trading futures I don't think I could ever go back to anything else! I love this forum its definitely the best and most advanced on the web. I've been a member of a lot of different forums but I think I have found my place here on futures.io (formerly BMT)!

Thanks Big Mike

Hi Mike & everyone.
I have been trading for 7 years now. I've had some success and some struggles. (Mostly struggles lol) Trading has put me on a profound spiritual, emotional and psychological journey in which I have and continue to learn so much about myself. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I am very happy to have found futures.io (formerly BMT)'s forum. I hope I can be some help to those who would like to avoid some of the mistakes I have made. I use Ninja Trader and am just starting to use volume profile with the intention of incorporating market profile as well.
Thank you Big Mike for this forum community.
Lanny

hi

Hello,

I have been actively trading for about 2 years now. It is not easy and it needs time and devotion.

Just as I thought I had find out a methodology that was working, my broker (LMAX) kicked me out because of "news trading".

Well, if a small fish like me can piss off LMAX's liquidity providers and they have to kick me out, then it means I am doing something right.

Good luck everyone.

WOW... I didn't know a broker could do that! You should be able to trade whatever you think is going to work for you.

Well there are many examples of bucketshops that suspend winning traders.

LMAX is an exchange, a different story, but since it supposedly provides no 'last-look' execution, sometimes you can place an order at the moment when a news release hits the wires and you take liquidity faster than the LMAX's liquidity providers withdraw theirs.

Apparently since the LPs cannot see who makes the orders, they flagged several and LMAX checked those and traced them to me and my account was simply suspended, just like that, no more discussion. Of course I have all the information needed to prove this, but that's another story.

I never thought I would be subject to this behaviour by a reputable firm, but it's OK, as I said before, it seems that I must be doing something well.

Hello again!

Just introducing myself

I've been studying options and futures for 2 years and
trading for 10 months.

I've recently included forex to my list of markets to follow and trade on a demo account.
I trade options regularly, but I've mostly been actively watching the futures and forex markets.
My definition of "Actively" is hourly.
I mainly use futures for market awareness for finding entries and exits for my options trades.

Charting:
I use Thinkorswim for options and futures.
I use NinjaTrader for Forex.

Brokers:
TD Ameritrade for options and futures. (horrible rates)
MB Trading Demo and FXCM Demo for forex. (I like MB Tradings' spreads)

Hi Mike, hi everybody,
First of all tks for this initiative and sorry for my bad English! I try to do my best

I've approached automated trading a year ago, my first experience was obviously bad, after 6 months the TS had generated the worst performance I ever had, so I switch back to chart trading.. classic swing trading stuff like support, resistance, pattern breakout and so on. Things that let me gain something...
I promise to myself to switch again to automated trading only when I'll be confident enough with a portfolio of systems....
Coding for me is a nice thing, but I have no background and I feel myself learning to slow...
This is the reason that brought me year.

I hope to speed up development and TS quality sharing experience in this community!

Hi everyone

Hi. Haven't blown out my account yet - but pretty close on one smaller account. My main account is more or less flat -for a couple years. Hope to learn something here to turn it around.

My goal.

One percent a day, that's all I ask. Is that possible or am I shooting too high or low?
