I have yet to trade anything at all. I am on day one of my exploration of day trading. So far I have watched 7 hours of videos, installed ninjatrader and found this forum.
I have little to no idea how to configure it but I am playing with the simulator as best I can. I will try to limit my silly questions.
Welcome to the forum. And as asiaexpat said, it's extremely fortunate that you found this forum from day one of your trading journey. I'm just a couple steps ahead of where you are now, and you'll find that if you learn from, and take the advice from the many helpful experts here, that you will save yourself a lot of missteps (and money) towards achieving success.
Thank you gentlemen, I have been surfing around the net trying to find a way to educate myself and there seems to be a lot of places that are happy to take a lot of money off people for...questionable value. To find a place that is more of a community then a cash generator is comforting to say the least. Lots of content here and today I will start to make my way through it. I hope to make a friend or two while I'm at it. Thanks again for the welcome
I'm quite new trader and i have been member of this site a week or so. I have traded with stocks, warrants and ETFs since '07 but it hasn't been as profitable as i hoped.
So from this spring i have been trading futures and i have studied quite much about technical analysing from books and websites and there is allways some new aspect to learn and improve. Thank you Mike and other great traders out there who have shared piece of wissdome for us newbies. Keep up the good work!
Hello. I have been a member of Big Mike's for a long time, but neglected to take advantage of the posts in order to increase my knowledge of techniques and skills that are out there. I have not been successful trading, though I fortunately have not lost a lot -- simply not trading real funds until I achieve a measure of confidence in what I'm doing. I understand that there is no Holy Grail in trading, but I do believe that a percentage of traders have proven that they can consistently be in tune with the market and thereby earn a living. That is what I am pursuing, and have begun to review what others in this forum have been willing to share.
