Greetings, My name is Siddharth and I have been trading for 2 years now. I did a training course at a prop firm here in dubai and then got hired by them trading intraday bond futures spreads on Eurex.
Did not do too well so i looked for another stable job preferably to do with markets only, as I wanted to be completely immersed in markets even though i wasn't a real trader yet. I then got my current job with a institutional Fund, where i am told what trades to do for a fixed monthly pay, its like any other regular job but I thank my stars that I am close to the market even in my day job. Off course eventually I want to be in no job and trade my own account.
Side by side I also trade Futures on another account, again intraday on mainly ES and NQ, sometime CL. I am barely profitable but have improved seriously from my early days, and the ONLY thing that made me improve was money management and patience to not overtrade. I hope to learn and share on this forum, I feel Big Mike Forum is a great one.
Welcome to the forum. And as asiaexpat said, it's extremely fortunate that you found this forum from day one of your trading journey. I'm just a couple steps ahead of where you are now, and you'll find that if you learn from, and take the advice from the many helpful experts here, that you will save yourself a lot of missteps (and money) towards achieving success.
Thank you gentlemen, I have been surfing around the net trying to find a way to educate myself and there seems to be a lot of places that are happy to take a lot of money off people for...questionable value. To find a place that is more of a community then a cash generator is comforting to say the least. Lots of content here and today I will start to make my way through it. I hope to make a friend or two while I'm at it. Thanks again for the welcome
I'm quite new trader and i have been member of this site a week or so. I have traded with stocks, warrants and ETFs since '07 but it hasn't been as profitable as i hoped.
So from this spring i have been trading futures and i have studied quite much about technical analysing from books and websites and there is allways some new aspect to learn and improve. Thank you Mike and other great traders out there who have shared piece of wissdome for us newbies. Keep up the good work!
Hello. I have been a member of Big Mike's for a long time, but neglected to take advantage of the posts in order to increase my knowledge of techniques and skills that are out there. I have not been successful trading, though I fortunately have not lost a lot -- simply not trading real funds until I achieve a measure of confidence in what I'm doing. I understand that there is no Holy Grail in trading, but I do believe that a percentage of traders have proven that they can consistently be in tune with the market and thereby earn a living. That is what I am pursuing, and have begun to review what others in this forum have been willing to share.
Hello everyone....I daytrade the ES. I have been trading for several years now. I guess I am here in search of anything to do with trading psychology and how I can get more of an edge as most traders do not focus on this area.
I am a beginner and trading seemed to interest me, so i just started out to learn the intricacies of trading. Found this forum on Google and here i am introducing myself.
Hoping for great success!
