I am really happy to absorb all the information you have available on this forum. I'm here to educate myself and hope like minded people can take me by the hand and filter me through a lot of the noise.
I was introduced to Futures over 5 years ago, but left it after a year of that due to other issues. It opened my mind to the wonders, once mastered to create a career anywhere in the world in these volatile times.
I still have an itch for Trading. It kills me that I don’t have the money to purchase all the wonderful charting software and indicators with rental data-feeds and open up a six figure brokerage account.
Avidly reading books only since then, I'm trying to master what is the ideal balance between the 3 - psychology, money management, system/strategy. Also which profitable style to trade consistently,
be a mechanical, fundamental or discretionary trader.
I'm a big fan of old school legends like Gann and Elliott and trying to decipher the tape. I'm looking for my own simple edge to trade. I don’t mind either strategies; before the curve or confirmation after the curve to trend follow.
This is just another chapter in my life I'm dieing to follow through this year…
I need help soon in choosing the right charting platform(s), indicator(s), data feeds.
I want to explore in depth … automated systems, back testing with unfiltered tick data,
analysis for volume-delta/profiling/time/price/ranges, footprints, point of control, etc.
I'm in a mid life crisis, also wanting to study a finance/economics/trading degree and work with large firms to get more inside knowledge also.
First, I'd like to thank Big Mike for the amazing forum. The abundant resources this forum provides has, amazingly, contributed to my knowledge base more than any other trading-related resources combined. By all means, the small donation required to graduate to the 'elite' membership is money well spent.
For transparencies sake, I'll reluctantly admit that this is my first contribution to the forum. I have many excuses, of which none are worth your time.
That being said, I've made the decision to become more involved. Hopefully I can help a few traders out as I continue on my path of learning.
I'll be starting a trading journal soon, hope to see some of you there!
I am new to the site and somewhat new to trading as well. I have been on ET mainly, but there seems to be a lot of negativity and lack of productive trading talk on there over the past couple months aside from a few people. So I thought I would give futures.io (formerly BMT) a shot as well after some advice to check it out. I am working on learning the in's and out's of CL and also working on a few options strategies as well. It is all a work in progress though.
Hi, my name is hendra from indonesia, now i learn about COT strategy, supply and demand.
i hope someday i will to share my knowledge and also i got some good article, strategy and others from this website.
Like many in the retail trading business I did blew out my accounts several times. In all of the cases due to my lack of self-awareness, inexperience and ignorance. Now I'm putting myself towards a fully systematic approach. Looking forward to be a part of the best forex board there is
