Hello everybody, my name is Matteo and I'm from Italy. First thank you to Mike for this forum and thanks to all members who post their ideas.
I'm interesting to volume profile, vwap, footprint, tape reading; actually I work only as a paper trader, my focus is on futures indexes specially fesx and es.
I'm glad to be here and be a part of all this.
for my poor english....

Welcome Matteo, you're in the right place, good ideas, good people, there is so much to learn. For "us" English is a problem, but perhaps Google Traduttore can help you.

Hi all - some may know me from the NT forum - I have some development skills as far as indicators are concerned but am by no means a professional.
I am keen to hear from anybody who has seen or is able to develop a text panel that will fit between the price margin and the chart - the lines (of text) should match the price increments for the instrument traded.
I would like to clean my charts up and do away with 'sticky notes' attached to the side of my monitor. I would like to be able to add annotations to my charts - for example VaHi; VaLo; IbHi; YRTH Hi; LVN etc etc you get the idea.
Ideally this could be set up at the end of a session and the values/text/inputs would be saved so that when the chart was opened for the next session - my homework was still there!

If we where able to move from basic to advanced then a modified analyzer window would be nearly perfect - we would be able to select indicators whose values we needed eg SMA(200) and the value would then be updated and displayed next to the price without the plot being drawn on the chart. A facility to add text at a value could then be easily written into the indicator code using the hotkey F12 or obviously hotkey of your choice.
Main problem I see is getting the thing to scroll/resize/move with price as values and chart aspect vary - if price rises above your initial chart parameters then the panel has also to move as well in order to keep your notes aligned with the price.

Any thoughts ideas or tips gratefully received.

Ben.

Hello Everyone,

The first step in recovery is admitting you have a trading problem. I have LOTS of trading problems!

My goal is to form a solid market base education using the vast amount of material and resources this site has to offer.

I look forward to learning and sharing with you all.

Hi everyone.
Long time lurker, not spending much time on trading recently due to regular day job, but hoping that one day I will have enough free time to dive deeper.

Hi,

Good to be part of your Forum

I've been learning to trade for nearly 4 years, stumbled upon Nexgen almost six months ago, and just getting ready to go live

I was active in trading futures about 20 years ago. I have uploaded two indicators so far for Ninjatrader. The Welles Wilder True Range and Bill Dreiss' Choppines Index are available in the download area. During the day, I am a C# developer/DBA for a financial corporation. At night, I am developing for Ninjatrader and planning to use the Encog neural network software to find market patterns. Great site. I have found some good ideas. When I finish reading the Heaton books, hopefully I will have something for NinjaTrader/Neural Networks. Hopefully I can find more information on NN here as well.

Hello everyone!

I'm here after initially reading through the forum and sensing an optimistic and supportive community. I've dabbled in stocks for a few years now, focusing mainly on larger time frames. My goal is to now work on researching and developing a successful intraday trading black box system. I look forward to helping one another!

Cheers,
curi0usTLDR

Hello guys,

My name is Roland, and have been trading fx for about three years now. I started with micro lots and have been able to work my way up to mini lots. I haven't blown any accounts yet. Scared money makes you take less risk lol. Any how I have been trading with metatrader this entire time and was always curious about the other platforms. Well I downloaded NinjaTrader a while back and wow I really like it. I am in the process of opening a futures account as they have changed the laws in my Canadian Province regarding retail forex accounts basically limiting forex trading to those with excess of 1 million in assets excluding your house, and I am not there yet lol. Anyway thanks for all the great info posted I have read so far definitely helping my futures education immensely.
