Interesting,

You are more of a fundamentalist?

I toured Bruge and Ypres 2 years ago. pretty awsome place to be and see history!

I'm more of a technicalist...
And yeah Belgium is great for sightseeing we got some nice little city's and towns.

After getting 2 PM in the last week, encouraging me to be an active member for the community, I don't want to disappoint Big Mike, so here I'm, although I like most staying on the sideline and lurking.

A little bit about myself:

I'm self taught trader having spent the past several years developing my market knowledge and trading skill set. Start trading from beginning of 2009 and gone fulll time from beginning of 2011, had my first profitable year in 2012(I was up 31%).

I trade mainly the currency market, ES,CL,Gold never trade anything else outside this markets.

That's pretty much it.

If you think I should mention anything else just ask, maybe I have an answer

Regards!

Hi Mike and the entire Forum,

I have been on the thread for a while and am introducing myself here. I am an entrepreneur between companies and thought 9 months ago that I would just "jump into the market and make some money while I decide what to do next . . ."

Well, I'm not sure about the rest of you, but this has been one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. I have blown out my account 3 times and feel very much like my mouse button is has an electric shock attached to it at this point. I am feeling very cautious but also believe that there is much to be profited from in the market, so I am doubling down with my studying and pursuit of a system that will produce consistent profits without putting my account at risk again.

I have over 20 years of 'investing' experience, but am pursuing futures day trading. Among the things I am struggling with, the worst is managing stops - i seem to be able to trade in the direction of the trend reasonably well but get stopped out a couple ticks before price turns back in the direction of the trade. That either means I haven't put my stops in the right place or I am entering at the wrong time. Either way, it's killing me.

So, with that, I will continue to read and learn and use Ninja's replay instead of continuing the insanity.

Thanks for all of your coaching and help. I really really appreciate it. You all are great.

Jeff

Greetings from Traverse City, MI

I've been trading for about 6 years on the ThinkOrSwim platform. I retired over 10 years ago but still stay current with programming (e.g. C++, C#, Htiml, Xml, Java, etc). I want to convert my winning strategies into code and do automated trading so that I have more time to play up here in Northern Michigan.

I have waited for thinkscript to develop enough to be a viable robotic trading package but it just hasn't happened. I'm looking at switching over to TradeStation and am encouraged by the fact that I can write custom C++ code to develop strategies if EasyLanguage becomes too limiited.

Thanks Mike for providing this forum. It is already working for me. I arrived at this site because I had a question about the TradeStation product and the C++ interface. I already got an answer.

D. Johnson

Hi All,
Last year I blew out my account and I've been picking up the pieces ever since. I've done quite a lot of back-testing on a host of studies and found very few that I'd feel comfortable using. My interest is trading the ES futures and focusing on that alone for trading. John

Hello all,
I am from Czech republic. Started to learn trading sometimes around 2004, after experiance with investment group, and the my own day trading. I lost a lot, but never actualy think that trading is something I cant do. The oposite, I am 100% sure that trading is my life. Yes for once more I am at the start again, but isnt like that, who wants to win, must get up once more then the ones who loose.. My favor is DAX index, intraday morning sesion, aprox 3 hours. Using RSI divergences with S/R levels. So after several moths of paper trading, and back testing and reading. I am ready from February on live trading is coming.

Thanks all people here for any message.

Lumir.
