For the last 5 years I've been making a living by placing bets but I don't consider myself a gambler.
I've played with Forex trading but its always been a very casual activity and although i've not made any money i've not lost anything of significance either.
However I am attracted to trading by the high levels of liquidity and have decided 2013 is going to be the year I invest some serious time to become profitable trading forex (and maybe other markets).
I am currently testing some EX4 indicators and would like to know the logic behind them and found your forum whilst looking for info on decompiling the indicators.
I am new to trading, but a very seasoned software developer. I am attempting to attack the problem from a completely naive perspective and hopefully come up with a solution through evolution, not using the popular ideas of today.
If anyone has any programming questions, let me know and I will try to help!
Hi , my name is Felice (Licio) Bruno, and I started to study Algorithmic Trading almost one year and half ago.
I discovered a big passion for this topic, and started to write algorthms on automatic strategies I found reading on books or speaking with other traders.
I hope I can help the community sharing my (little, for now) experience.
Bye.

Hi guys, I worked as a quantitative trader at a broker dealer for about a year. Since then I have been doing independent strategy research on my own and have been paper trading my strategies using Multicharts through an IB simulated account. I look forward to learning new ideas as well as sharing my own ideas on the forums. I'm also active on the Multicharts forums.

Hi all, new to this forum. I've been in finance since 20, worked at Schwab/MB (back office stuff) and recently for a family office in Los Angeles working as an analyst covering various L/S ideas. Outside I've been running my own accounts with weekly options, trend following etc. Big fan of the markets and have just decided to get into futures trading as of November as another way to produce some alpha in attempts to start running a swing book in the future. Outside of trading im pretty active and just completed my first half-triathlon on October. Looking to network with other investors/trades and share ideas!
Hello all, came across this forum by chance and Im glad I did, already found some answers to questions Iv been asking for a while now. Im 38 now but started as a runner down at the CBOT when I was 19. I worked my way up doing practically every job there was from phone clerk to out trade clerk, back office work to trade checker and eventually found someone to back me where Iv been ever since. I took a few hits the last few years and it's set me back mentally but my goal for the upcoming year is to work out of that and get back to the level I was a few years ago. Just need to get over this fear hump and I know the rest will fall in line.
