Found this site while looking for more information about FT71. Watch all the his videos here back to back. I'm sold. (I heard about him on DayTradingRadio.) I'm impressed with the site because of all the education resources and plan on using as many as I can.

I've been in the market for 15 years but have only started day trading since Feb. 2012. I started paper trading on October 2011. I became unemployed last June and was having no success in finding my next opportunity. I decided my best opportunity is to become self employed. I've always had an interest in trading buy really know nothing about it. After months of trading and the typical draw-down of a new trader I turned the corner and have been profitable for a month. I've been trading stocks using TDA with SorS. It's becoming clear I can't make enough money to pay the bills trading stocks so I'm switching to futures.

Last week I started the process of switching to Vankar Futures. I"m using them because their business plan of treating their clients like Prop Shop Employees investing their own money. In just the last week I've learned so much and I'm not even active yet. (should have my account open early tomorrow)

I've followed FT71's advice and switched platforms to Investor/RT and IQ Feed. I've downloaded several chart templates to get up and going quicker. I've got to say I feel like I've been trading blindfolded compared to using IRT. Wow!

Bottom line, this is going to work. My new career path is as a profitable day trader. No more "Yes Boss." If there are any futures traders that would like to meet up for coffee drop me a message.

Hi, I am from Hong Kong, I've got 5 years exp in HK Stock market, but I don't have knowledge in computing.

I am joining here to seek some advice about learn the programming, since I found algo trading is the trend in future, I believe trading will not be success if no knowledge in programming.

Besides, I am learning how to trade FOREX and commodities.

Welcome to the Forum!

BTW, people have traded everything from rice in ancient Japan to stocks and futures today, all without the aid of computers! The one has nothing to do with the other.

Actually, I have some thought.
Same as Jesse Livermore, no computer in 100years ago.

The major reason I want to learn programming is to save time, since my baby just born, I cannot spend too much time to read the chart one by one in future...... so I wish to let computer do my job.

Last year I spend 4-5 hours everyday to read the charts.
After my newborn baby is here, I could only spend less than one hour to read the charts... ^_^

I found your forum searching stuff about Al Brooks for which I have great esteem. I have his latest 3 books on my shelf, and am making my way slowly through them.
I greatly enjoy the webinars on this site.

I joined forum after searching infos on FT71. I traded Forex for 2 years with modest profitable results (Thanks God.Never blow up the account. I am switching and learning to day trade futures to fire my boss some day. I wanna follow FT71 method but still unsure whether I should just subscribe to IRT straight away while i m still learning and demo trade his method (my concern is the high cost of IRT n data while i m still learning and havent made any profit yet). Can anyone tell me whether I can use Ninjatrader with Gomi MP indicator to replicate FT71 works to learn the method and save the cost first?
Hope to have your opinions. Thanks alot

It seems every goog search I do ultimately leads to an answer here at Big Mike's, usually with a constructive and thoughtful discussion. So hello, and thanks to all y'all who share so much experience & knowledge here!

About myself: I'm fortunate to have a demanding job and active kids, and doing my best to squeeze in the learning curve outside of business and parenting hours. For some reason, the more I learn, the shorter my time frame has become. My journey started with a decade+ of mutual fund "investing" and disillusionment, dabbling in CANSLIM swing trades, and now learning futures. Currently narrowing down the tools/instruments/methods that suit my lifestyle and time constraints.

My main interest is working with NinjaTrader, and likely to join the 'elite' membership soon as it seems there are some excellent scripts available here from fellow members.

Hello!

I'm new in trading and only few months doing ES futures, this is what makes me comfortable get in and get out, don't like to leave any positions open while sleeping.
My problem is even when I feel that all my projections could be very accurate my nerves betrayed me a lot, this is what I'm working with right now.
It is a pleasure to be a member of BM, he makes me feel like old friends and has this great idea to invest his time trying to help others.
Thank You BM!
