Hi Kids

I'm new to this forum, still beginner, I trade live YM and testing and testing and.....

live in the UK, I am not native english speaker so sorry for any grammar mistakes,
currently on a gap year, gave up my job to study and learn how to trade

I had various success over the past few months, many of you already experienced up & downs so I dont need to talk about it. but it's ok.

Thanks for this forum, it's great.

Happy trading

Well, I'm just totally blown away by this place! I've been studying all things forex for the last few months (lost my job and not feeling inclined to find a new one) and I keep finding myself back here. Seems like the vast majority of trading-related forums have far too many antagonistic people always ready to jump on newbies for asking too many questions. Being pathologically shy, I virtually never post on any forums but was feeling inspired by all the incredibly generous people here--I'll try to continue posting and hopefully contribute something here or there.

I've dabbled in stocks and forex for the last few years but have never tried to make a living out of it. Since losing my job, I've actually stopped trading until I can get a concrete set of rules/strategies together, master Trader Workstation and NinjaTrader, and put together a detailed trade journal....and get a handle on my propensity to overtrade and risk more than a few percent of my account at a time. Hopefully, within a few months I will have most of this worked out and can let myself start trading again.

Big thanks to Big Mike for making this place happen....and another big thanks to Fat Tails--I've already learned more about Pivot Points from his posts here and at the NinjaTrader forums than I thought possible.

Thanks again all,

Sniff

Here my welcome cheer to all:

I am a student of Chris Lori, Peter Bain, Vic Nobel, FT71 and Fari Hamzei. I have been studying for 8 years about now. I am trading FX and I am astute in analyzing COT as well as price action in FX. The most watched andd traded pairs for me are EURUSD, GBPUSD and some USDJPY.

I have greatly benefited from FT71 material here and way before he presented here on this website. For me the greatest respect goes to Chris Lori and FT71 <>

The COT studies for me come from Stephen Briese and Floyd Upperman. Both are great experts in trading with COT under the belt.

Anyway,

This is my introduction
Christoph

In the past 6 years I've moved from Turtles to VSA to Price Action and now scalping from the DOM. Starting to look like the answer is not "out there" -- but rather "in here". Looking forward to learning about high probability and deep psychology...

Best to everyone

I spread bet in the Uk . Started out trying all sorts and reading get rich rubbish but not stupid enough to pay for any such. Now a firm believer in price action, support and resistance.
Big fan of James16 over at FF. Hope to learn more here and to find a home in a helpful/sharing community since I am tired at the decline of some sites into ego tripping, sarcasm, vendor advertising -anything but trading related info.

Hello everyone,

I am a Civil Engineer by profession but have always wanted to try the markets so here I am (Five months experience...very green and reading as much as I can). I have babbled mainly in stocks of late. Limited success. I am living in New Zealand so time zone (1.30am when NYSE opens!!!) makes things a little hard. Want to get into futures and trade at reasonable times!!!

Before I jump in I want to learn as much as I can from experienced traders. Main thing I am finding is that not having some form of mentor or being able to drop ideas on others is really a disavantage IMO. So very happy to fine this forum. So yeah, lots to learn. Please feel free to drop me a line anytime.
