Hi Everyone

I am very new to trading. I am currently working in the IT industry as project Manager and live in Sydney Australia. I am 64 years old and am looking into trading to support me after retirement and at the sme time giving me something to do.

I started with Options in May 2011 and lost some money as I was not proactively managing my trades. This was due to work and I could not look at price movements at work.

I then stated looking at Eminis and and am now trading S&P 500 here again I am not doing well. The loss is less than that of the options.

I heart about Big Mike from a friend who explained the wealth of knowledge that Mike's web site has. I beome a Elite Member. Howver since I joined I have not been posting anything or reviewing anything. I have been tyravelling a lot and work has been hetic.

I will be away fror 3 weeks travelling overseas and will return to Australia. I will then start looking at all webinairs and postings on this site.

Please bear with me if my postings are limited as my knowledge is close to zero.

Thank you for your patients

May the trade be with You

First thing is to trade in SIM (simulation) or "paper trade" for a few MONTHS before commiting any money. Best regards.

Good morning fellow traders, just joined the forum - yeah!

I live in Prospect KY and have been trading for 5 or so years. I started out with Dan Sheridan mentoring (good stuff) and have migrated to trading 6E with David Halsey (even better stuff.)

Please feel free to PM me or email me. I'll be glad to help where I can.

Cheers

Bill

Hello all,

I’ve been pursuing a life of freedom since 2007. I’ve worked for many years as a network engineer. At the time I thought that life was good. I had the “American Dream” Lifestyle. I had 2 cars, a nice home, a great job at the Pentagon and a family that lived without need. The only problem was that I could see no real growth from there. By growth I mean freedom growth. My real dream is to have the ability to rely on myself for finance rather than traditional employment. Long story short, because of the market crash in 08, I ended up losing a great deal of my 401k and began to search for ways to recoup my losses. I ended up in Iraq and Afghanistan working and risking my life for the money. My family suffered greatly when I was gone and I could see no end to this type of living so I decided to search for ways to guarantee free
dom and happiness in our lives. I definitely needed to have some sort of business of my own. This would need to be a business that allowed more time with my family and the ability for real financial growth and freedom. I began to look into trading the financial markets 2008 and started trading actively in 2009. It was a great year. I had no idea what I was doing but since the market was in an uptrend the bulk of that year, I made good money. I then decided that this is what I would do full time as I really enjoyed it and could see the possibility of freedom. Since that decision I’ve blown my account 3 times and have returned to Afghanistan for work….

I still have the passion and the goal of becoming a successful trader. My biggest problem was money/Risk management. Also I’ve studied so many systems that now I over analyze trades and have lost confidence. Not passion!
I’ve studied technical analysis, Fibonacci, Indicator trading, Robots, naked charts trading price action, trade callout sites and I have over 100 books and seminars. I still have yet to find my edge.
I grateful for this community of traders and feel I will truly benefit for the sharing going on in here.

Thanks

I've been trading semi-regularly for about 10 years now, and I've yet to find a consistently profitable edge. I've had good results with some automated swing trading strategies in the past, but I've been unable to convert these to successful day trading strategies. I've been unable to find stable automated day trading strategies in general as of yet.

I trade futures, and I prefer day trading because of the lower margins on futures for day traders. I still have a small account, so lower margins mean more to me than they would to a big fish.

I'm hoping my pea-brain has a better shot at successful day trading than my code has had, but so far, I've yet to become consistently profitable as a discretionary day-trader, either.

I came here mainly to pick up a cumulative delta indicator that is supposedly only available to elite members. So, I'll probably become an elite member here pretty soon to get at this sucker.

But I'm also going to look around the site in general to see what great info lurks in them thar hills!! In return, I hope I can help people here with any knowledge I may have.

all the best to everyone, and may your trading be prosperous.

Hi everyone.

Looking forward to checking things out here & hopefully contributing to the sharing way. I use price action and supply/demand levels as my main bread & butter trading style.

Hi everybody,

I am a "baby" in trading. I used to be an "investor" i.e. buy and hold and parking my hard earned money with professional firms but my investments were affected in the recent US market turmoil, wiped out 30%. I have decided to take matters into my own hands and learn what I can about money management and investments. I had been very passive when it comes to investment and listen "to experts" in the past.

I signed up for a 2-day trading course last year and was "hooked" on trading since. I read many trading books, look for interesting websites to learn from and exchange ideas with other traders. I opened 3 trading accounts and had been actively trading for the past 10 months. My account is now down 15% and had been a result of all the mistakes that "books and traders talked about"; e.g. punch in wrong price or trading size aka technical mistake, greed and fear (exit too early or try to catch a running train) etc. I am hungry to learn and aim to become better every day.

My aspiration is to be a full time trader and have it as my second career, I look forward to learning from this group of people.

Cheers
Cat
