Hello,

I'm trading for the for the last two years and still consider to be a baby at trading. I accidently landed on this website a week or so ago and i thank Mike for providing such a great forum. I can certainly gain a wealth of knowledge and hope to share mine.

Thank you and happy trading to all.

Hi Mike :

I am so glad I joined this forum. I am a newbie trader, I recently lost a quite a bit of money not knowing anything about the futures market but still getting into it. I think I made some bad decisions and I am starting anew. I am new to NT, new to trading strategies and even charts ! From time to time I might post some very basic questions but it's nice to know that everyone meaning all type of questions are welcomed here so I won't have to worry about someone brushing me off

Thanks again

Thanks,

Syed

To all the new traders, here are my 2 cents. As we all know there are many , many reasons why new traders fail and continue to lose money. For me, it was having too much information and not really knowing which one suits my style and personality. By the time , I found out, i had lost money for 2 years.

Any trader who wants to be successful and wants to find out in the least amount of time if he/she gonna make it- should first find out a system that will work for them. Do not trade with real money till you have settled on a system.

I wanted the SIMPLEST system and from someone who is not just an educator but a real trader.

For me, it turned out to be Mark Fisher, author of " The Logical Trader" and according to Paul Tudor Jones " There never has been and never will be a better pit trader than Mark Fisher". I read his book 9 months ago and have not looked back. I paper traded for 500 hours to get a feel for the system and the product i trade which is Crude oil futures.

I would be more than happy to help if after reading his book one finds that Mark Fisher system is for them.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
After 16 years of investment bank job, I am in the process of fundamentally changing my live and go private trader. No back door. Had highly volatile times in over the years. From holding stocks for years to scalping futures. Striving to "smoothen" performance and income. Less leverage, more patience. Reading some of the posts with great interest. Hopefully can contribute from time to time when I am live.

let me know when you go live , would be interested to know what system you settled on.

I trade crude oil futures full time , using Mark Fisher ACD system as a base along with Volume profile. Mark Fisher is also author of " The logical trader" and runs a very successful N.Y , US based prop firm.

Hello to the community,
i'm Yannis and i come from a greek island called Santorini in the south Aegean sea.
Studying markets for 3+ years and lost a few hundrends euros very rear for a newbie i suppose.
Stop trading live and decide to educate myself as much as possible before put my hands on fire again!
Find the forum by accidend searching for volume studies and immediately became an elite member without
second thought. That was the best money ever spent!
Looking to participate more after a month or so because i work on season holidays from April till end of Octomber.
Best wishes and trading to all.

yannis

Hi All,
I am glad to join futures.io (formerly BMT). It seems like an excellent forum. Thanks Big Mike!

I had been a position and swing trader, but now learning day trading. I will highly appreciate any suggestions on the ways to effectively learn and become an expert.
