Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Big Mike - -

Thanks for putting this together. The wealth of information is impressive and everyone's willingness to assist is inspiring. You should be proud. I look forward to exchanging ideas in the future.

Thanks again, Humble

Hi Humble,

You are absolutely right, I am very proud of the community! And I look forward to hearing from you as well as the other new members.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.
6)

Hey TRO... I remember you from the TS Forum... looks like you are using MT4 now... glad you showed up here... sorry it seems to have been a negative experience... actually there is NO cash flow here and many different types are welcomed... take care.

Well, it seems like there are people already attacking me on this forum. I will have to defend. That usually results in me getting banned. Let's see how things play out here.

Edit: I see that my posts that set the record straight have been deleted from the DRAIN THE BANKS thread YET OFFENDING POSTS STILL REMAIN. It looks like the playing field is not level.

Hi, I have been trading for about a year now and my results have been sketchy at best. I have however learnt the most important lesson I THINK???? You need a bank to trade and money management is the most important factor when trading. I haope I can help out in this forum and I hope I get to learn a lot. Thanks

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TRADING

  • Price either goes up or down.
  • No one knows what will happen next.
  • Keep losses small and let winners run.
  • POSITION SIZE = RISK / STOP LOSS
  • The reason you entered has no bearing on the outcome of your trade.
  • You can control the size of your loss (skill) but you can't control the size of your win (luck).
  • You need to know when to pick up your chips and cash them in.

Introduction

Hello everyone,

I am Jim aka JamTheTrader. My trading experience is deep as are my losses.

I am trading this morning (slow pathetic market) and will spend more time learning the background of the traders in here as well as talking about my experience both technically and psychologically speaking.

One complaint so far Mike, spell check does not work and believe me I need it!

Jam
