Mike,

I came looking for info on an indicator, but was struck by the first line of your tagline:

Quoting
Stop changing things. No new indicators. No new charts. No new methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.

Great advice!

Regards.

Hi everyone!

I've been interested in trading for a few years now and have loved the posts by the BigMikes community.

I'm always watching the markets and trying to learn more as I have only Sim trading experience.

Things I'd like to learn, tape reading and market profile reading.

Thanks to Big Mike for putting together a great place for traders.

Hello all
My name is Nevi and I live in Arizona.
I’m new to the forum here but not so new to trading, I’ve been interested in trading since the mid 90’s and although I have traded a little in that time my main goal has been to develop a fully automated trading system using tradestation, my latest attempts have been using stochastics on the 1 minute emini s&p500. I’m getting close but there are still drawdown periods I can’t see myself trading through.

Hi my name is Mark, I'm a super new trader and very green when it comes to the psychology of trading. I really hope i can contribute to the community in someway in the future but I'll be here to listen and ask questions for a while. I'm a thrill seeker, musician, bartender, philosophy and math major (at least i was), I'm hoping i can be a jack of all trades. I'm here to learn.

Recently I decided to give the equities market a break until the melt-down is complete Currently trading futures - mainly EUR/USD, CL and GC. I enjoy this style of trading and am very keen to expand my knowledge base. I look forward to making contact with fellow traders.

I been trading for 3 years. First 2 years stocks with mixed results. Switched to cl 1 years ago, found Mark Fisher system and have not looked back. Will like to discuss your trading method for CL.

I started with 6E then recently got attracted to CL. I'm a member of a group called Traders International and to date have used their signal sets. Their approach is conservative (a good safe thing for sure) but I think there are more entries to be had so now I'm searching around for additional means/alternatives. I hadn't heard of Mark Fisher; the only Fisher I knew of was Robert Fisher, the Fibonacci trader.

Here is a link which describes Mark Fisher system. Mark Fisher book is "The logical Trader". When i heard that Mark Fisher firm clears 33 % of daily crude futures volume and per Paul Tudor Jones " He is the best pit trader ever", that was enough for me. To top it off he has been trading since he was 16 and has an MBA from Wharton with distinction.
