Now after 3 years of sabbatical I am back to trading and I will began trading the e-mini sp i have ninja trader with fin-alg for market profile.
The profile is the only think that i did not use and now I am very eager tolearn but I look a lot at multitimeframes on my 6 screens
I am living in Lugano the south part of Switzerland.

Just like everybody, I started trading forex 2 years ago and blew up my account. Since then, I started my mad holy grail journey. Soon after I understood the meaning of that journey and get out from it, I begin to trade profitably until now. Nowadays, I'm soloing the market, mainly, stock and futures. I'm looking forward to see everyone.

Hello futures.io (formerly BMT)-

I stumbled upon this forum as I was searching for code for ninjatrader. Glad I came here - I have tons of questions and hopefully I can find many answers here.

About me:
I have been trading for about 2 years. I started off with a tiny account trading only stocks and now I mostly trade Options. I have lost in total ~25% over the last couple of years but around 80% of that 25% is attributed to commissions and maybe 5-6 trades. In any case, I have learned those lessons and thankfully never blown up my account completely.

Recently I came upon tom demark indicators and have been using those to swing trade options. I have been fairly successful with those indicators and I decide to mechanize the indicators and create a market scanner/automatic trader using those indicators. I initially started programming in excel using macros but quickly found that excel cannot fill my needs. So I tried ninjatrader and have been very happy with it since.

However, my programming knowledge is very limited. Most of what I know, I learned from google using trial and error and somehow my haphazard code works Using the charts and market analyzer in ninjatrader, I have created a market scanner that searches the market for securities hitting critical points on the DeMark indicators.

I then tried trading all of these stocks as they were hitting the critical points, but with a full time job and all it was very hard to keep on top of everything. So at the moment I have stopped trading as I devote my (very limited) free time to developing an automatic trader.

You can read more about my code and my trades at stockjockz.blogspot.com (Although unfortunately, lately I have not had time to update the blog). Meanwhile, I hope I can get some of the more technical questions answered as well as get some guidance from you guys while I try to develop my trading system.

Thanks,
Wown

Thanks to Big Mike for making this site available -- I've learned a lot so far without the BS and posturing from other sites.

I've been trading since 1990 when I opened an account with Shearson Lehman Bros. (chosen from the phone book at random). My first trades were buying Bank of New England and Wang Labs. Despite decisions like that, I haven't blown out an account (yet). I've been trading online since 1997 (National Discount Brokers, later TDA). These days I mainly daytrade TF, CL, ZC, and DX, and swingtrade options on SPY, IWM, and GOOG.

My biggest development area is learning to take the setups I see, instead of waiting waiting waiting for confirmation too long and missing the moves. "Ok, it's up 13 ticks -- I guess I was right!" I also tend to not follow the plan, and exit too early instead of letting the trade run. The good news is that I exit quickly when I'm wrong.
