I agree, nobody should pay 5k for on a trading course, whether it is based on SIM or Live trading. There are no doubt 100's of successful trading strategies freely available on the Internet or printed in books. All a successful trading strategy is, is an edge, a trade with a positive expectancy that plays out over the time. The other 99% of successful trading is risk management and psychology.
But I would never say, there is no decent education available, or that every educator is a crook. Altruism is alive and well in all walks of life, so why not trading? Of course trading attracts a high proportion of scam artists, and I quite understand that if one has been burned personally that it may jade one's view, i.e. "a plague on all their houses".
I am taking a more balanced view, if you think such a stance means I am somehow propping up educators than perhaps you have missed the point. I am not doing that, most trading educators will UNDOUBTEDLY be crooks, that is a fact and basic statistics. But I do not believe in throwing the baby out with the bath water. Education has it's place in all walks of life, I was not aware this was a controversial view.*
Again for the avoidance of doubt, yes I agree no one should pay TFA any money and buy his course!

well enough of the ping pong for me, this will be my last post now and just to keep on point:
1. TFA lies about having nothing to sell, so can't be trusted (proven beyond doubt)
2. TFA refused to sit and mentor with him live trading (not SIM) 1 on 1 with at
least 1 person on this thread, no logical reason not to as he was offering the mentoring, and then he put a fee. (proven beyond doubt)
3. Until proven otherwise there are discrepancies on his Live trading Dom that appear to show that he is actually only trading SIM,
Still walking like a duck and talking like a duck, so I feel that my part is done and at least any people reading this thread can make a good decision about whether or not to waste money with him.
I wish everyone the absolute best with their trading.
The good part is he does not provide the mentorship for everyone.
You can like him or not same like Christiano Ronaldo or Messi you can like those ppl or not but they are the best Football player in the World 🤣 And the Football mates from Ronaldo will never achieve same Results.
Good comparison Dragutin. Both Messi and Ronaldo are convicted criminals because of tax fraud. They both avoided jailtime by paying a fine. So that makes three crooks indeed lol!
Don't forget TFA is also meant to be a software hacker - impressive skills!
I am still on the fence with regard to his guilt. Someone said previously that because TFA doesn't want to trade with someone sat by his side, then this is proof positive he is a fraud. Err not necessarily. Perhaps he doesn't perform well with punters by his side, perhaps they ask daft questions, perhaps he can't concentrate, he is probably tired after all that software hacking! Who knows - not cut and dried in my opinion.

Ben al vanaf 2012 lid maar kom nu pas deze NL thread tegen, wel leuk als je ff over traden kan praten in de eigen taal en tegelijk ook jammer dat deze threat ver-engelst is. Ms even proberen om weer in het Nederlands en draadje op te starten.
Zal me daarom ff voorstellen ben Reinier uit Arnhem en probeer al jaren een all round retail trader te worden. Project is nooit af merk ik, elke keer leer ik wat nieuws.
Mijn idee is om maximaal te diversiviseren over zoveel mogelijke trades als mogelijk is binnen de grenzen van mijn kapitaal, risicomanagement en mijn eigen tolerantie. Dit allemaal de volatiliteit uit mijn equity curve te houden.
Ik trade daarom nu van alles en nog wat: ETF, stocks, futures, FX, CFD's, verschillende instrumenten Equity (indexen), Bonds, Commodities, en verschillende strategieën: pair trading, macro trades, spreads, carry, risk premium, seasonality en wat andere alpha dingetjes. Sommige strategieën mbv algo's andere handmatig.
Alleen opties mist nog in mijn arsenaal. Ben wel al bezig maar vind het nog best moeilijk om te zien wanneer een optie goedkoop of duur is, en of er een trade mogelijkheid is.
Traden doe ik nu al jaren naast mijn werk, maar ik ga vanaf dit jaar me volledig op traden richten. Ben benieuwd als de druk er echt op staat of zaken dan nog zo succesvol lopen. Heb 3 kids allen aan de studie dus moet wel wat op tafel komen, heb een buffer maar toch.
Ik ben Bas, heb het draadje in 2015 opgestart en woon bij je om de hoek, Giesbeek.
Handel sinds 2010 eigenlijk alleen aandelen en futures.... Ik heb dit opgestart om te kijken of er meer traders in Nederland waren die er serieus mee bezig waren maar er was weinig respons.
Dus leuk om te horen dat je er van wil gaan leven, hele stap.
Leuk man om even in het NL te worden verwelkomt. Zit altijd op Engelstalige forums, niks mis mee maar toch ff leuk om in moerstaal te communiceren.
Ja haha, Gies ligt inderdaad om de hoek, ken best wat mensen daar uit een ver middelbaar school verleden. Daar waar het leven nog goed is. Ik moet zeggen dat ik me niet veel meer herinnervan de keren dat ik in Giesbeek geweest ben, was redelijk opgegaan in de lokale cultuur ;-)
Even een persoonlijk vraagje leef jij alleen van traden of doe je het naast je werk, Ben namelijk best geïnteresseerd in ervaringen.
Ja ik ken dat. Ik heb met mijn eigen bedrijf vanaf 1999 en heb een aantal hele langdurige contracten met klanten die ik vanuit huis/kantoor kan bedienen. Dus dat alleen zijn herken ik goed en vind het soms ook moeilijk. Met traden los je dit idd niet op. Ben daarom net zoals jij wat andere dingen ernaast gaan doen, vooral actief geworden in de voetbal club van mijn zoons. Maar de boys zijn alweer paar jaartjes ouder, moet nu op zoek naar andere manieren. Maar na zolang zelfstandig te hebben gewerkt is het best lastig om weer in loondienst te komen en daarbij denk ik dat ik vanwege mijn leeftijd (56) niet veel kans meer maak.
Ik heb overigens een groot respect voor intraday traders/scalpers, heb het geprobeerd, een half jaar paper trading was succesvol, maar eenmaal live merkte dat ik ging twijfelen aan de methode , aan mezelf. Het vergde te veel mentale inspanning, kon ms psychologisch de volatiliteit niet aan. Je moet echt wel sterk in je schoenen staan zeker in de tijd dat er nog geen mini's waren.
Slow trading past meer bij mij. Veel kleine en verschillende bets allen met een positieve verwachting, en en lang in trades blijven, daarom ook voor mij geen vaste stop losses en targets, mijn exits zijn vnl gebaseerd op tijd. Profiel: veel winnende trades en af en toe een behoorlijke loser.
